Well I knew when I started reading it would/could become a serious headache for me, again. Still, from the bottom of my heart, I thank you, Jeff, for all the time it took and the mental stamina spent to see this thing through. What a record you have presented! I have loved the people I have known to be the Jamestown Tribe. Whatever problems in their leadership, the regular folks don’t need this kind of headache either. I want transparency in government. I want to build honest relationships with the folks who represent me and my family. I have loved Sequim for decades, first as a vacationer and then where I have lived full time for over a decade. I am so sorry no one can read about this story in the local news! What kind of newspaper refuses to even print a rebuttal to a letter to the editor? And they wonder why they are dying? Wow. I have shared this story or most of it with a couple of dozen friends in this County who are wondering why they pay for a subscription to a so-called news paper that has failed to inform its subscribers about such a huge matter. I am truly amazed after reading this latest installment.

At least 350 people's lives and property were put at risk to further the Ozias agenda. If that doesn't tell you everything you need to know about Ozias... He must go!!! Come next election the Tribe will put everything they can into re-electing him. That you can be sure. If he's willing to drown a community to further other interests beyond the people living in Dungenesss, he's their man. This will take money and time to finally boot this useful idiot from office. Be prepared, there will be a group asking for YOUR help to fund his removal. As great as these pages are to expose his agenda, the majority of people around us do not read this and will not understand the issues at the last moment when it's time to vote. Not without a funded effort to get the word to EVERY voter that sadly must take a side that the tribe will not satisfy the tribe. The new commissioner replacing Ozias must work with the tribe but NOT at the expense of the people living in Dungeness.

I believe Ozias will be appointed to a legislative position immediately AFTER this year’s elections. I believe that’s why he’s thumbing his nose at his constituents in District One, because he’s moving up by appointment. He doesn’t need us. But he does need the tribe because of the incredible power they have over our elected in Olympia. Exposing this corruption needs to reach as many as possible. There are far fewer far far left socialist democrats (of which Ozias is one) in this county than there are those who believe in common sense and transparency.

Let's make sure his reputation and lack of integrity follow him wherever he goes.

Hell hath no fury like a scorned community!

Amazing! All that because the Tribe breached the levee too soon. Why did they do that? Does anyone know?

I am going to have to get a pair of fisherman's waders-- the bullshit flowing from this miserable project is already waist deep.

Whoa! Your site is better than any newspaper's. This is the type if research and information lacking in our local newspapers. I always get a vision of a dartboard in my head when I read your latest update. Whether the design of the board is a web or circles (maybe even a coil) the concentric point is the bull's eye. Projects like these take years to develop, so in the process too much can happen. This gives someone, or a corporation, time to repeatedly revise the initial strategy (the web/circles concentrically expand). Pretty soon no one remembers the original plan (the bull's eye). But because of you and other concerned citizens, we now can reverse that expansion and once again refocus on targeting the bull's eye. Thanks, Jeff. May is going to be exciting!

Thank you Jeff for bringing all this to the forefront. This is disappointing but not surprising. Clallam County might as well be renamed JST,Inc.

How does the Army Corp of Engineers feel about being falsely blamed for this?

I had hoped for better from Tribal Leadership. You know: Take responsibility for what you did. Own up to it. Be truthful. Be honest or you're playing into the very thing you're trying to avoid. Paying to have Clallam County Commissioners outright lie about how the original levee was breached is a new low.

The reservoir project is frightening given the recent past history of the leading players.

The lawsuits and recall are sure to start shortly.

After a myriad of interruptions I made it to the end!

My favorite comment in the emails was from Tom what’s his name: that the new statement involving the tribes non responsibly “will survive the Audit process “... I didn’t have to go further but did.

“Oh the web we Weave when we at first practice to deceive”.

I agree to the courts we should go. It’s only going to get worse.

Well done Jeff!

Jeff, there's a lot to digest here and I will but when I got to the end and saw Brandi Kruse is the guest for the next meet up I thought we are all in!! A favorite of ours.

Brandi is great. Producer Nicole is coming too.

Send Ozais full time to the tribes bidding and if he doesn't resign from the Clallam County Commission then we should recall him from his possession as commissioner. Thank you Jeff for presenting the real inside information to the electorate.

A federal lawsuit must be filed. The state court is rigged for the tribes and the "partnership". The Dungeness water rule proved that. Its the ICLEI plan to flood farming area's. They put it in writing and then say you're just making up conspiracy theories. I can show any court the document trail. Preferably to a federal one. There is a reason Senator Hargrove was afraid of a federal lawsuit. The whole stagnant water/methane is both good for reservoirs sake and bad for dams sake argument won't hold up in a real court.

The "Partnership" knows the bad methane/stagnant water argument is going to be used and is being used by other dam removal proponents. For now methane/ stagnant water must be bad to justify Washington, Oregon and California dam removal projects. Any real court would strike down the reservoir project based on methane and stagnant water being bad. In Washington, marijuana is both legal so they can keep the taxes and illegal so they can ban medical marijuana dispensaries and over regulate recreational. Washington State courts have no qualms about having two rulings allowing the state to have it both ways on policy.

Why was the breech of the levee the Corp of Engineers fault? All I’ve read and heard from the County for the last 6 months is the Tribe took out a section of the levee & an emergency had to be declared. What it all a lie? What was the Corp of Engineers response to being blamed? Where is the past documentation of communications between the County and Corp of Engineers in regards to them breaching the levee? Wouldn’t these questions need to be answered?

Awesome Questions!!! Having been in construction for my must of my adult life and been involved in projects with multiple contractors, the question is: How did the County NOT KNOW the levee would be breached. On every project I've been involved in there is a master schedule and weekly scheduling meetings to mark progress and to adjust the master schedule should benchmarks not be achieved. We know from the article the County had already asked for a delay in removing the old levee in 2021. County/ACOE FOIA request ?

Wonderful life experience to bring to reflecting on this issue.

Wouldn't it be fun to see the Communication Plan and the Risk Management Plan for the project? I really doubt there's a line item anywhere to be found that says, "pretend you didn't see JST breaching the old levee ahead of schedule." And when you have "trusted partners" on a project you really don't build a lot of risk management into the program specifically to account for them sabotaging it.

Does anybody know if either the renter and/or the owners of the home that burned down have filed lawsuits or received compensation from the county or tribe?
