Still surprised at how blatantly conspicuous JST reps write & think the public is, when it is actually them committing the misaligned acts of good faith. Misaligned for their interests, their gain & it’s clear!

Corruption: lack of integrity or honesty (especially susceptibility to bribery); use of a position of trust for dishonest gain 🔗

Transparent: easily understood or seen through (because of a lack of subtlety) •free of deceit

Deceitful: marked by deliberate deceptiveness especially by pretending one set of feelings and acting under the influence of another.

Just a few to take note.

Give em hell, Jeff!

To borrow a term that Jeff has used, that email from the tribe's Randy Johnson to Worthington makes my blood boil. Just another example of the tribe doing and saying whatever they want and getting by with it, because they know they can.

It was written to Kathy Lear. I did not see this until a few weeks ago when Jeff found it.

I have them beat on river management. They have me beat delegating to non-profits.

My County has deferred all government to non profit NGO's.

At the Conservation futures board, a county government board member basically defers to NODC and Dungeness River Management team with my suggestions. The places we cant get answers.

A viscous and endless circle.

Paying people to pass the buck.

What the Jamestown Tribe has accomplished since that massacre on the Dungeness spit is truly impressive. I’ve just returned from a trip across South Dakota where I saw first hand the utter devastation that Sioux Tribes live with at Pine Ridge and Rosebud. The Jamestown Tribe has been blessed with natural location and stable leadership. It is not fair to equate the Jamestown S’Klallam with the Oglala Sioux and is completely naive to give them the same US Government resources and advantages. Not all Native tribes are equal and some truly have been treated disgustingly by the US government and the population of non natives they live with. The Jamestown Tribe is not one of those tribes.

Yes, there is a difference...The Tribes in SD have been corrupted by greedy federal, state, local, and tribal officials for many generations. The JST is just getting started.

Oglala Sioux were the first tribe to join the ICLEI, and commit on paper to "building and serving" an international government on American soil...a 250 thousand dollar fine a 5 years in jail for you or me.

So with ALL that has been presented here over the past few years; documents public recordings inter office memo etc are from a stable leadership and it’s cohorts! The selling of Sequim via the city commissioners! Wow I’ve really misunderstood everything…. Your trip to S.Dakota and the historical mistreatment of all the native Americans culminates right here in Sequim… so we’ll just sit down and shut up because …..

No arguments, EXCEPT that the time for reparations has long past and it's time for the Tribe to be accountable for their wanton fishing devastation as well as pay taxes as we do. If they are a "sovereign nation" then they have absolutely no business meddling in taxpayers' affairs, not to mention bribing politicians. Let them be citizens, pay taxes, be accountable, and THEN, as such, have their say in our government.

The tribes are voting for the same government that caused them harm. Accepting bribes in exchange for campaign contributions and votes is disgusting. I wonder when the government will turn on them too. Time to turn the tables and talk the tribes into making everything right again. Vote Republican and stop the divide of our country

Frustrating and illiberal, thanks Jeff for trying to sort this all out.

You're welcome, Christopher.

Thanks for keeping us informed Jeff.

Perhaps we can start the “Crackpot Tribe”, all natural born citizens of the U.S.A. Then we can apply for grants, stop paying property tax, and ask for reparations.

The native Americans are trusting the same government that forced their children into private schools in which most never returned. The tribes are being bribed now to keep this administration in office. Along with 25 million undocumented immigrants that are using resources not meant for them. No one should trust a government that makes the problem then takes credit for fixing it. Do we need anymore examples and lessons? The native Americans can help get this country out of the demonic administration it’s in currently. The government is here to keep peace and protect its citizens. Have you experienced any peace in the last 4 years? They want to divide and conquer. We want to live in peace and harmony.
