I'm looking for a date: would anyone like to meet at the Dungeness Schoolhouse at 11 tomorrow to walk the levee and hear DLTA's presentation? I'm decent looking, I offer sparkling conversation, and I like long walks on county right of ways. Anyone?

ONCE AGAIN MR. OZIAS HAS GONE BACK ON HIS WORD AND NOT STARTED TO OPEN THE ROAD CHEATING THE COUNTY AND CITY TAX PAYERS. I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE WHAT OTHER PROMISES HE WILL BREAK. THIS ALSO ADDS TO SAFETY ISSUES FOR POLICE, SHERRIF OFFICERS, AMBULANCES, AND THE FIRE DEPARTMENT. I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE WHAT THE NEXT EXCUSE WILL BE TO KEEP TOWNE ROAD CLOSED.

While the letter to the JST raises alarm bells, the commissioners appear to only be apologizing for the delay in their response to the tribe. The county lawyer probably helped with that. That's not nearly as concerning as what Ozias originally appeared to want. Whew.

It's good to see that our commissioners are committed to moving forward with the most environmentally safe stretch of road in our county. I look forward to being able to commute across it again soon.

The DLTA/Eberles outed themselves long ago. It was not Jeff's fault that they were naive enought to not realize that all their emails/communications with the county are public record. Being quoted in the local papers from the Carrie Blake park propoganda meeting (Derrick, I believe?), appearing at and speaking at numerous open BoCC meetings, agreeing to have their family photographed and noted at the county fair. Going on public record with emails to/from Ozias. They did it to themselves but it seems to be the popular thing in some circles to blame everyone else for your mishaps and just scream louder if it puts you in a bad spot. Not to mention how often Bri can't seem to help but take the bait that is offered on ND or here. There appears to be a distinct lack of maturity there in the emotional response. DLTA blog is nothing but emotional FUD (fear uncertainty and doubt for those of you that might not be familiar with that expression). Maybe they don't even read all the references they post about 6PPD-qs or they might have to face that farming close to a river is a huge contributor to the problem.

On that note, I can 100% confirm that DLTA is deleting fact-based comments that don't play into their agenda on their blog. I've been screen shotting (is that even a word?) their blogs comment sections for a while, suspecting something was amiss.

The comments that are deleted are often from concerned citizens, including those that point out that for their "get together" on the tax payer funded road, if you can walk or bike to the event, it is better for the environment than parking in the unmitigated parking lots where more 6PPD-q leaches into the waterways. And OBTW, farming over, around wetlands, streams and creeks is bad. References and everything and they deleted the comment even after serveral "likes". No free speech on this non-profit's comment section. No idea who the original poster of that comment on their blog was but whoever you are, please don't give up.

And then one has to wonder why an up front, recently established non-profit would seek donations for legal fees. To sue someone? To defend in a lawsuit? Nothing good will come of that.

To re-iterate, don't donate to any organization that does not identify who their leadership is on their blog/website. You might as well send your money to me. Otherwise it could all easily be a scam.

Desperate people do desperate things……really desperate things. It is nice to not be desperate.

You read this post at the BoCC meeting on Tuesday. Very impressive as it addressed many unanswered questions and concerns from the public. DLTA is just another non-profit that will invite outside interests to interfere with local issues. Do the donors know how detrimental this will be to the serenity of Sequim? It seems the Trails Advisory Committee could handle whatever needs the county has regarding improving and designing the local trails. Have a fantastic event on May 11. Since you organized this, Jeff, I know it will be well attended and something everyone will later talk about.

Why is the Tribe, that does not pay taxes, influence those of us that do? Wouldn't it be great for me to urge Port Angeles leaders to force residents there to pay more taxes so that I can use a benefit? Put a different way, let's vote for Idaho to have Idaho taxpayer subsidized gasoline for $1/gallon, so that people who live in Spokane and don't pay those taxes, to be able to go buy cheap gas?

Put a different way, the Tribe has no business influencing things that the rest of us pay for but them don't. They should pay taxes like the rest of us instead of using the saved money to buy politicians. They should NOT have it both ways.

They now brag on youtube about the Casino money getting them seats at our table...and how they lied once they got there.

Another comment / request: If anyone happens to join the, ahem, nature walk tomorrow (Saturday, May 4th) on the tax payer funded levee, soon-to-be-re-opened Towne Road, can you please ask the farmer(s) how their driving personal vehicles and heavy farm equipment over/around wetlands, streams and creeks (that happen to be on their property), with all the turning, accelerating and braking is protecting the salmon (and their neighbors) from the poison called 6PPD-q? Their farmland is not mitigated to filter out that pollution (quite the opposite) whereas the new section of Towne Road is (complete with documentation). I swear these people do not read their own scientific literature. Not only are they killing the salmon they claim to care about, they're also poisoning their neighbors (anyone who draws water from their well in that area might want to get it tested). It's advertised as a chance to "ask questions".

On a different note, SMH as to why the JST needs grant writing training when they clearly have money to burn/throw at the county to try to get their way.
