Clallam County Watchdog Jeff Tozzer will be participating in April’s “Town Hall: Local Government Transparency in Decision Making” hosted by the People’s Forum.
Usually held during campaign season, People’s Forum hosts a format in which the public can directly engage with community leaders. After much interest in Towne Road, the Happy Valley Gravel Pit, and accountability in our local government, the People’s Forum is hosting a much-needed event outside of the election cycle.
Regular attendees to the weekly Commissioners’ meetings know that the public comment period is for only listening to the public, not responding. The format adopted by People’s Forum removes that barrier and allows for back-and-forth dialogue. If you have questions and value civic engagement, consider attending.
Clallam County Watchdog’s motto is Holding County Leaders Accountable and on April 11th, Watchdoggers get to do what they do best. If you have questions about Towne Road and want to support your research with documentation, the Towne Road Timeline can be a resource when managing the vast amount of data about this .6-mile stretch of road. Another measure of accountability can be measured by reading the Commissioners’ Mission Statement.
Feel free to contact Jeff with specific questions about the issues you’d like to learn more about before attending the People’s Forum.
