They hate colonization and capitalism but want to be put at the front of the capitalism line.

That's one hell of a compensation mechanism. A real hypocritical one.

Marsh what marsh...We don't need no stinking marshes..you need marshes on the Dungeness...because we say so....we need a casino and hotel in our marsh.

That's one hell of a compensation mechanism they have going.

I am astounded, gobsmached and open mouthed reading Marsh Madness to the point of being speechless!!!

Great as usual Jeff. Thank you.

Also don't forget the entire casino and gas station were built in the wetlands and flood plane of Jimmycomelately creek. The softball field at Dickie Birds used to flood most of the winter when the creek overflowed. The hypocrisy is nauseating.

You're welcome, but I HAD forgotten that. Just heard from an old timer that said they couldn't hay down there because it was too wet decades ago.

Call me a brown nozzer, but remember Ralph Nader and his Raiders? You are building a community of Tozzers Bulldozzers and I'm am happily watching it grow. Honestly, what you have created, and keep current, is amazing and pulls people into wanting to be involved (I'm a perfect example, I'm a procrastinator) Not an easy feat.

Sounds like a f….ing scam to me no matter how you look at it and it’s people like Ozias & French & the rest of “the machine” who keep perpetuating the draining of our pocketbooks, livelihoods & futures. French ought to be so proud his kids are going to be facing harder times just trying to pay for all the stuff they allow to happen. I wish I had money to spend & waste like Ozias & French with no accountability for botched services! What a terrible scam!

I love how the tribe and council can pee on everyone’s legs and tell them it’s raining. Do they think the people of Sequim are this stupid?

Expand full comment

Great visual, thanks!

Expand full comment

Yes, so far that's what seems to be indicated...stupid, asleep, apathetic, lazy, unwilling...it all plays into their scheme because we lack the organization and dedication that 'they' have...the ambition that 'they' have and the funding that 'they' have. It's a stacked deck...just like at the casino!😳

'They' are out to remake 'the world' in 'their' image and likeness...no matter how stupid or insane because it is providing them with 'power' and as the evil Henry Kissinger once said, 'power is the greatest aphrodisiac.' I know God is our 'invisible friend' but it may be our only hope for goodness...pray without ceasing is a tall order but we can't affect the outcome of secret meetings by protesting them...they already don't care because they don't have to. Focusing on the world we want rather than the one we have may be the only way through this nightmare...(can't wait for the flood of illegal migrants 'they' are planning for us)...That's why I call him 'Nozias'...'Frenchie' is just as bad if more naive. They were not 'elected'...they were 'selected' and voting occurred to make it look like there was a choice.

If it seems unkind to make fun of their names, remember...sometimes parody and ridicule is all the little people have. Blessings, Truth, Justice, Liberty🤔

So sovereign tribal governments are working with foreign based organizations to affect climate change policy on US citizens. Sound like a very convenient way for foreign and tribal citizens to skirt pesky laws, rules, and regulations that might require input from US citizens.

Expand full comment

One man’s marsh is another man’s opportunity to charge colonizers to hit balls at it. Makes sense.

Expand full comment

Well, the tribe should be able to meet those climate goals with their pocketing of sales tax, gas tax, liquor tax, not paying property tax and the federal government throwing money at them. Easy.

As for the errors with the primary, that's significant, not minor. The county is already is a financial tail spin. Adding $156K to the expense side of the ledger at this time is inexcusable. Pretty sure the new staff member responsible for this is incompetent. That's really bad with a contentious general election coming up in two weeks.

As for the county budget,...ugh. So the departments would rather furlough working employees than eliminate vacant positions. Keeping vacant positions does require considering them filled in the budget. Eliminating them does not. That's lazy budgeting. If any or all of these positions are needed in the future then the department heads can put them on the Board of Commissioners agenda with justification. Retaining vacant positions is simply empire preservation. Disclosure: I know this from my career experience.

Is the hand quicker than the eye? You caught them in a Shell Game and thank you for pointing to the shell that hides the nut.

Duh. The election is next week. Oops.

Admittedly a personal trigger, but when I see resources dedicated to a "Climate Action Plan", I see subterfuge. It is extremely homocentric to believe we can control climate. If we pragmatically dedicated resources to climate change we would first target solar flares and second volcanic eruptions. Human consumption of fossil fuels is comparatively a pimple on a dimple on a piss ant's privates. The current State administration with Enslee in the lead is all about "climate change". The Jamestown Tribe is simply and wisely currying the State's favor. I do not dispute climate change, but want to know why it also happened before human influence. Politically it is altogether too convenient to be aboriginally sovereign when it's most convenient and to also be a citizen when you wish to partake of all the non-aboriginal conveniences like roads, sanitation, engines and technology. At what point will ancestry cease to matter ?

That's a great metaphor.

I don't believe that a $198,000.00 mistake is a small error that should be swept away. Mr. French doesn't think it's our money, claiming it's State money. The vendor, who made the printing error should be responsible as well as the County personnel responsible for approving the initial ballot.

Expand full comment

Pretty sure the errors were on the county's part. Thus, the printing vendor has no culpability.

And about the Tribe being stewards of the land—how does that figure as they net spawning salmon into oblivion? No restrictions whatsoever, at least none Fish and Wildlife enforce.

Wow, I'm so glad they are trying to reduce carbon emissions here, SO THEY CAN FLY GOEDUCKS TO ASIA!!!!

This entire carbon HOAX is even bigger than the SCAM-DEMIC!

WE ARE BEING HAD!

The 'SCIENCE' of vehicle electrification is PURE FRAUD!

There is nothing about the mineral extraction and vehicle production and charging stations that is remotely environmentally friendly!

Most of the power still has to come from oil and gas and coal fired plants and there will NEVER be enough (environmentally disastrous) solar and wind generated power available to power all the vehicles.

Part of 'the plan' is to reduce human population by 80-90%...well then maybe there can be enough alternative power produced...but it is still an environmental disaster...the raw materials that go into wind/solar is just as destructive to the environment as petroleum powered vehicles and wind and solar just get landfilled when their rather short lives are over.

We defeated the German state in the war but we never defeated Nazism...you can't kill an idea!

The same goes for Marxism/Communism...they are ideas/ideals which play out in the 'real' world.

Socialism which seems fair and just is just another form of State Capitalism...the form changes but the pattern remains...all the money and power float or are forced to the top and THE FEW benefit while the many suffer...

This is an ancient pattern and it is only occasionally disrupted by revolution...but then in the chaos of revolution...the same thought forms take advantage and establish the next despotic/tyrannical governmental system...(govern = control - ment= mind) mind control is the watchword of dictatorship...the fear of lack...or change (to our normal way of being) makes us compliant with Satanic plans...we all have a re-ligion (re = again - ligate = bind)...we all have a religion because we all re-bind ourselves to SOMETHING all the time...when we mindlessly re-bind ourselves to whatever is in front of us...whatever is spoon-fed us... then we abdicate all our power to experience liberty as God intended...our souls were not created to be bound to 'the world' but due to free-will we are experiencing 'the world'...it's not a beautiful experience for most.

The only options really are to submit or fight...I'm tired and don't really want to fight...but I'll not submit easily.

The hour is far later than most of us think/feel/believe...the darkness creeps up until it can pounce...it's pouncing now!

Defund the Government! Do not comply!😱🤪🙏🏼🥸👹🤓

Ron Allen was right there with Tharinger and the bunch to form the local global chapter of the NODC.

They rent space right on front street. Everybody driving by their real government without even knowing it.

Meanwhile the tribes have an entire federal agency at its disposal. Their money should be coming from there.

They somehow without ever really telling the public, they transferred the tribal funding mechanism to the global unit of the NODC with intent to put Colonizers in third place in the local economic scheme.. Why do they need the BIA anymore. I am sending a note to Vivek :)

Where was the vote to set up global non-profit governments to make all the decisions?

If the Gazette, Forks Forum and PDN invested more time and resources actually fulfilling their watchdog role rather than chasing around after "happy community" fodder, while using their editorial pages to call out the commissioners for their missteps, collusion and incompetence, the political climate in Clallam County very likely would be different. I don't mean more left or more right. I mean commissioners such as French getting roasted for calling a huge budget error a tiny mistake, Ozias pandering to the S'Klallams, etc.

As it is, other than CC Watchdog, there are no foxes watching the hen house, not so much as even a toy poodle puppy.
