Thank you for the very informative article, Jeff. My disdain for the local tribe keeps getting deeper.

And, best of luck getting on the Charter Review Board. I can't think of anyone more in tune with county government and desire to make things better in our communities.

I'm only writing because you're reading... So thank YOU John.

Don't blame 'the tribe'...they have been co-opted by the same set of 'powerful ones' that have most of the control over most of 'the world'. 'the tribe' is an AGENCY of other powers...that's how 'they' (the powerful ones) are side-stepping our constitution...through and by AGENCIES.

The Tribe is responding to incentives that are hard to ignore. Repealing the CCA takes away one incentive. May we as citizens work on taking away more.

Need to find a way to prevent random properties (many with an existing house on it) from being converted to tribal land. This would prevent some of the property tax avoidance.

Agree Jim, we do what we can...it's just that our voting system is also compromised...what we are looking at is another American Revolution but circumstances are radically different this time, mass illegal migration, severe and clandestine censorship (shadow banning as well as overt) (persecuting and prosecuting patriots and believers without due process...ok maybe that's not different)and the (powers that be) have radically different technology to suppress us or kill us. Before it was rifles and cannons more or less equal in quality. Different scenario now. Glad I'm older that's all I'm saying...not much to lose...kind if like the younger generations now.🧐

All the human tools of tyrannical rule were also only responding to incentives hard to ignore.🤓

We live in the day of the Retribution Squares. They already have millions stacked up in the retribution column, at the Non-Profit Retribution centers, North Olympic Development Council, the primary beneficiary of our county Duns Number, along with NOPLE. The arrangement is, the non-profits use the Clallam County DUNS number to apply for federal grants of which the county usually pays a matching portion. The tribes and non-profit organizations are in every non-government -organization there is especially NODC and NOPLE. They decide policy that is preapproved in a work plan that is then approved by the federal government who requires they stick to their plan.. The tribe indirectly uses our County DUNS number to decide policy and pay for projects. Its worse than we thought. The DUNS number is farmed out to people like Cheryl Baumann. What Mark is not telling you is that the CCA Money is dialed in to the retribution column. We have federal grants galore in the kitty. Just drive from here to Silverdale and look along the side of the road. We have culverts and roundabouts planned for years. That means prevailing wages and prevailing gambling losses. Re-compete has allowed NODC to apply using Mike French. Again, the plan was decided by the tribe as a member of NODC. He has taken retribution politics by the hand in our county. We need to cut them off at the DUNS number.

Retribution squares is a picture of the NODC on zoom. They follow the ICLEI international policy that is handed down. They really hate my pictures. Especially the picture "Places decisions in the hands of of those effected by wrongdoing" The other picture is "shifting resources and decision making to people of color." Clearly the tribe is considered the recipient and representation of that retribution politics policy. Mike and Mark are clearly uncomfortable looking at those. The CCA money just tops all off what they already have lined up behind the retribution political regime. The CCA money is for more of getting even with the honky and part of the oppressor band wagon they are riding. One I am sure is influenced by campaign donations.

Climate alarmism is the biggest hoax ever perpetrated on humanity, and is designed to steal tax money from your pockets and usurp "emergency" powers in the name of Climate. Sadly, I can't post graphs here, but can tell you that climate has been MUCH warmer and MUCH colder in the past 500 million years, all without humans burning fossil fuels or cows farting-- long before humans and cows existed. We are warming now because the last ice age is melting and fading, but are still greatly below historical averages. Moreover, atmospheric CO2 is not causal, but the RESULT of warming, which releases sequestered CO2.

Most REAL scientists-- as opposed to "grant whores" who earn their living by re-"proving" the political narrative-- will tell you that Earth's climate is dominated by solar output and Milankovitch Cycles. CO2 comprises only 0.04%-- yes, 0.0004 of our atmosphere. Water vapor has a much more dramatic effect on surface temperature. Yet, a dumbed-down populace, more interested in Survivor or The View than science, buys into the BS like a fish with a hook in its mouth.

Lastly, the wonderful funding of local Tribal projects-- from OUR tax money-- comes from all the extra dollars we pay for fuel, and inflated prices from governmental money printing. This is OUR money that is being redistributed, not pennies from heaven for po' old Clallam County.

Thank you for yet another brilliant exposé, Jeff! You are exposing so much BS in our local government that Swains will have to put in additional orders for fisherman's waders to keep it from overflowing our boots.

You're welcome, NOI. And thank you for expanding my vocabulary. I don't think I'll ever use the term "grant writer" again.

They gouged poor people for gas money to pay retribution to the tribe... Not warm and fuzzy about that fact at all.

Its not wonder with all this political "I'll scratch your back" money flying around that Washington state's debt is over 27 billion and the US national debt is over 35 trillion. We need accountability from our supposed leaders.

Thank you for doing the work that KONP, the Sequim Gazette and Peninsula Daily News are not doing, but should be doing. Legacy media isn't much of a watchdog any longer. More like a lapdog.

I know about the leanings of the print media, but does KONP stand for King Of New Propaganda? Are you telling me that they're part of the problem?

The CCA is close, but not quite a complete waste of resources. The "climate" goal is futile. Our homocentricity, ( human ego ), has taken us to a point where we believe we can and do control our climate. An explanation of how global warming happened before human influence is necessary before we become climate Gods. If those resources and efforts were invested in pollution, I would be all in. A local digression here, but I would love it Jeff, if you would explore the disparity in fuel costs between Sequim and P.A.. Sequim is roughly 20 miles closer to the only fuel refinery in the PNW, yet fuel costs in Sequim are again roughly 10% higher than in P.A.. Why is that ?

This morning gas is $3.79 at the Lincoln Street Safeway in PA, $3.81 at Eastside Safeway in PA, and $3.89 at the Sequim Safeway. I'm not sure why that is... I thought Costco would drive gas prices lower in Sequim than in PA.

I am a diesel user, ( travel trailer pulling ), and find the disparity $ 0.40 to $ 0.50 / gallon; significant. Not really dialed into gasoline prices. Costco does not have diesel. That may be why.

The NWO is already here folks...many of us concerned here are going to be long gone when all this top-down governance plan is fully played out...they are preparing for the elitist 'brave new world' where social credit scores and your DNA profiles will determine your social status and ability to participate in the gene pool and the 'economy'...in order to 'live'. It is what it is. Fighting the 'New Roman Empire' is a losing proposition...you see how deep 'Nozias' is into all these 'deep state' NGO's...this system is deeply entrenched and has all the levers of control...hope I don't have to reincarnate into the 'brave new world' (unless of course I get to be an elitist oligarch with all the power...that might be fun!?)🧐

Isn't this what the 1st Amendment was created to oppose, and the 2nd Amendment if that vocal opposition failed? Asking for a friend.

Are there any institutions or founding principles that Americans (U.S.A. Tribe) respect such that they should take up arms to defend them?

I think not. Citizens don't even attend regularly scheduled local government meetings to voice opinions and serve their elected officials notice of their desires. Sitting around complaining amongst ourselves accomplishes nothing, playing into the goals of the Idealogs self imposed silence. This lack of involvement leads us to being bullied, ensuring no dissident view are heard. We need to wake up and use our "three minutes" to be heard. (I only used one acronym United States of America (U.S.A.)

I have no issues with the tribe claiming and using any funds that they can get to further their agenda. The tribe does alot for their members and this community. Yes, they run their sovereign nation like a business, and have done so very well. And yes, they lobby for whatever funds they can get, and yes they are buying up land and building things all over. They also make things happen much faster than local, state and federal governments due to their sovereign status. The Blynn campus looks great, better than any tribal campus I have seen anywhere, and all their projects look nice. I really appreciate all the time and effort the tribe puts into environmental restorations, and their architectural style is beautiful. They aren't just looking out for their own members, they are investing massive amounts of time and money directly back in to our community. They sponsor kids sports teams, invest in parks and open spaces, restoration projects, medical health and wellness and much more in this community. I am thankful that the tribe is so active in this area. They are a major benefactor to this community. They are using all the tools at their disposal to to get whatever funding they can and that cash is being spent here. Now I am not sure what Mr. Ozias is or isn't doing, but I know what I have seen with my own eyes, and that is the tribe working on projects that I appreciate and thanks to them for all they do.
