Are the DLTA people looking for their 15 minutes of fame?

IF a major news organization covers the protest, I certainly hope they have enough journalistic integrity to fairly report on the full story and the full history of this issue.

You know:

1) Recognize that a local organization (DLTA) has enlisted outsiders to attempt to influence/bully our local government (I wonder how they'd feel about us calling the shots in Seattle?)

2) Higher insurance rates for those north of the closure

3) Safety / emergency vehicle access for everyone

4) If it remains closed it's the use of a tax-payer funded vehicular road accessed as a road by a handful of privileged people

5) The mitigation of the 6PPD-q on this section of the road to help save salmon but the 6PPD-q is NOT mitigated on the farm with the wetlands and creek that is owned and "farmed" by the family that is leading the protest

6) Many people are spending more time commuting because the road is closed so it's more than an inconvenience. It's costly to some of us.

7) It was never supposed to be closed

8) change.org petitions aren't real. (duh)

And so much more.

If the road somehow does not re-open to all of us, I want my tax money back and I want the county to subsidize the insurance rates for those of us that live north of the blockage.

I agree the road was paid for by us, the taxpayers, I dont understand how these trail folks can even have any leverage. It’s ridiculous and i want my money back then too! Who owns the farm?? I hadn’t heard about that part

Derrick and Bri Eberly, they are board members of DLTA, the non-profit. The other non-profit members are Margaret Walthall, Rae Rae Haselbach, Jamie Porter, David Kelm, and Charles Main.

Thank you

DLTA, I thought they said all questions answered. No more questions accepted.

Will Town Road Trail be taken off of the TAX ROLLS, will those with Special access pay a special Road Use Tax? Will the County rebate those paying the excess insurance rates? Will the farm that is not mitigated come under special ecological rules concerning fertilizer impacts on the Salmon? Since I seem to be a talk and no show individual .... is anyone going to show up to greet the DLTA?... My attempt to join tonights gathering has been undermined... but Im still going to see if I can come late late....

Hope you can make it. I stopped by, standing room only, it was packed. I hope there will be some comments about tonight because I had to leave early.

Definately going to be throwing themselves in front of the dozers, I see it coming, LOL! Is the protest because they want a trail, cause they are getting one, probably the most expensive section (.06 mile) of trail in Clallam County.

I am confused as well except that their latest propaganda points directly to not wanting the road paved. Their propaganda includes nothing about mitigating farming pollution (6PPD-q and otherwise) and so that will be allowed to continue if they get their way.

I can drive on dirt roads more respectfully than the people attending the events at the Eberle barn. They like to drive 35+mph on it. And hey, no trail for anyone to feel "unsafe" on. . No problem. It will save the county tons of money, except for the maintenance.

Looks like they're calling on their cultists to join in the protest starting tomorrow. No trouble-making. If I didn't have to work, I would like to join with a big sign that has 6PPD-q in a circle with a big line through it and a caption "Especially on farms near tributaries".

Jeff, do you realize that the Silhouette protesters picture for the lead into this story are nude.

I was hoping no one would notice. I'm 2nd from the right, and I want everyone to know it was VERY cold during that photo shoot. Don't judge.
