Interesting how these crises always favor the Tribe. Anyone keeping score? Thank you, Jeff, for persisting in reporting on this very important issue. It's not about buyer beware, climate change, or feel good NGOs and non-profits creating self-serving reports. It's about greed. And people will sell their souls for it. If CC wants to become the kind and serene place it once was just a few years ago, then good people need to stand up for their friends and neighbors. Because this could happen to you.

The UN-IPCC data is flawed; which is well known among true researchers and astute observers. One good "pop" of Mt. Baker, Mt. Rainier, et al., or a ood shaker along the Cascadia Subduction here in the Northwest will surley show how insignificant humans truly are. North American Indian Tribes are no more in control than so-called scientists who are making good bank and insuring that it continues, as long as they can keep stealing money via government agencies doing the same. No one controls independent people who do not owe anything to anyone, regardless of what some may believe. The narrative needn't be true or accurate, as long as it resonates with the audience, and if one is actually living their life, all the noise doesn't really matter. Peace comes from within, especially when one realizes, beyond doubt, that living is the chief cause of death. With that knowledge, one can either worry oneself to death (alcohol, drugs, and increased stress on the human biological organism, which sometimes leads to choking the living hell out of some deserving soul, hence incarceration)), or living and outliving the struggle for power and control by people have no self control. I grow and harvest trees; it's peaceful and productive.

Increasingly a very small number of far left people run our lives.

Why not eradicate the expensive homes on Seashore Lane to the East?

Jamestown Beach Road homes?

If you're going to fire up those bulldozers, just keep rolling East and tear them all out.

We aren't taxpayers, we're guests.

Just built more casinos. More pot dispenseries.

There goes a pretty hefty RE Tax payment along those miles of beach.

No problem, just send Ozias to D.C. to beg for replacement dollars. After all, he and his ilk were "protecting the environment".

Compared to the sea level rise after the last cold-period around 12,600 years ago (+-) there are not enough ice-caps left to make a dramatic rise in sea level...it may well be enough to displace those who have built upon sand...but we have all been warned about that. We are All being played and scammed. "All the World's a Stage..."

The CCMRC is one of seven Marine Resources Committees supported by the Northwest

Straits Marine Conservation Initiative authorized by the U.S. Congress in 1998 following the

recommendations of a blue-ribbon committee created by U.S. Senator Patti Murray and U.S.

Representative Jack Metcalf (Murray-Metcalf Commission). Our funding comes from federal

and state grants administered by the Northwest Straits Commission (NWSC). In addition to

collaborating with the NWSC, the Northwest Straits Foundation, and other MRCs, CCMRC

and its members also work closely with many local and regional partners, including Tribes.

Federal and taxpayer money supporting these people.

If we { meaning those with adjacent property } are on some notion of "tribal land," then it is the "tribes" responsibility - as good stewards of the land - to finance any and all expenses related to moving structures & people to a safer location, perhaps somewhere near the 7 Cedars Casino as it certainly is not affected by any rising water levels.

Clallam County’s Marine Resources Committee (MRC)—an advisory group made up of citizens from various sectors including conservation, recreation, development, and tribal governments—offered its take on the worsening flooding situation...

What a joke. Advisory group is just so knowledgeable... Watch the climate hype on their favorite "news" channels and they are "experts".

Idiots, no longer a Dem, why, they eat their own. You should have seen the Kamala signs on 3 Crabs. Now the left is coming for the faithful.

I get it Einstein. But since you only want to say what you believe, I’ll tell you whats true: sea level rise has been measured in New York City near the Statue of Liberty. Tide gauge data from The Battery, close to Liberty Island, shows a long-term sea level rise of about 2.8–3.0 mm per year since the mid-19th century, totaling roughly 45 cm (18 inches) over the past 150 years.

What else you Google? You're like Doctor Know in AI.

Thanks so much. My great great grandchildren need to know there's another 18 inches coming by the year 2200!

Depending on who is delivering the news sea level has been used to finance many projects. The failure to realize the seas are never at a consistent level anywhere anytime doesn’t ever enter anyone’s mind while talking about it. We have tides that seasonably change. The Statue of Liberty is still above water etc.

what concerns me is the inconsistency and huge tidal wave that sweeps over our commissioners heads and NGO’s like the MCR… other than the easterner farm land of Washington state I bet we are one of the darkest communities here.

The double standard and favoritism (as it appears) or maybe since they have caved into Ron Allen, head of the Indigenous Mafia, the commissioners feel secure enough not to worry about what they are doing.
