Awe, thanks. I found that presentation fascinating. To me, it sounded like after a sampling of ~800 voters, a hard-working group uncovered some real anomalies between the data they collected, and the data that was recorded. County leaders initially agreed to meet with them to review the data but have since circled the wagons and are shutting them out. I have real empathy for groups like this who want to present data and ask legitimate questions.

I found that very interesting and cannot imagine the Commissioners not going to Shoona Riggs now and doing some digging in the voter registrations.

Admittedly, I don't know a lot about these topics but what I see is people putting a huge amount of effort into a project, bringing their legitimate concerns and questions to their representatives, and being ignored. I was apathetic about this until it was our group that got shut out... I have apologies to give to folks I discounted.

Thank you, Jeff. You are thorough, well-spoken, and respectful of others in your questions of the commissioners in the actions they take/have taken, with regard to Towne Road, and otherwise. I appreciate all the research you do to keep us informed.

You're so welcome! Thanks for following so closely and staying engaged.

One would hope the other Commissioners and County law enforcement would want to distance themselves from this repeated unethical and possibly criminal behavior.

I think we are losing focus and allowing side issues to distract us from or original purpose….

The re-alignment and re-opening of Towne Rd.

This is from page 24 of the Hearing Examiners Conditions for approval of County permits for this project.

2. Prior to the implementation of this proposal, the Applicant shall submit an Open Right- of-Way Permit to the Clallam County Public Works Department for review and Approval.

This should tell us the reasons why this ROW was granted and how much it cost Clallam County. (us)

RCW 79.36.440

Right-of-way for public roads.

Any county or city or the United States of America or state agency desiring to locate, establish, and construct a road or street over and across any state lands of the state of Washington shall by resolution of the board of county commissioners of such county, or city council or other governing body of such city, or proper agency of the United States of America, or state agency, cause to be filed in the office of the department a petition for a right-of-way for such road or street, setting forth the reasons for the establishment thereof, accompanied by a duly attested copy of a plat made by the county or city engineer or proper agency of the United States of America, or state agency, showing the location of the proposed road or street with reference to the legal subdivisions, or lots and blocks of the official plat, or the lands, over and across which such right-of-way is desired, the amount of land to be taken and the amount of land remaining in each portion of each legal subdivision or lot or block bisected by such proposed road or street.

And according to Jefferson County any road Public or Privately financed on a public ROW is open to public use.

https://co.jefferson.wa.us/DocumentCenter/View/1013/Open-Right-of-Way-FAQs-PDF

 Who can use the road? All public right‐of‐way is open to the public to use whether the road is opened to a full County road standard and maintained by the County, or opened to a reduced standard that will be privately maintained. Other members of the public cannot be prevented from using a road constructed on public right‐of‐way. Public Works may be contacted for information about vacating the public’s interest in the right‐of‐way; however, if this action reduces or restricts access to other parcels, it could not be vacated.

So…If the reasons given to WA. State were/are for the realignment of Towne Rd., does that require Towne Rd to be built?

If Eberle and Nash are give thru access in either direction thus opening the road to the public are the Gates illegal, now or in the future?

There you go using "policies and guidelines" again. What about how people "feel" about the road?

I FEEL like going back over to ND and having a little fun at Lord and Lady Voldemort's expense, but that would be hurtful and disrespectful, and I might be accused of "Publicly Shaming Her" again. Policies and guidelines it is for awhile.

This could prove to be pretty powerful info. Thanks for sharing it.

Heaven forbid that if the county doesn't complete the road, the only course of action seems to be to close it for everyone or let the lawsuits begin. Personally, I'd rather have my tax dollars go to completing road.

It's time to put the frosting on the cake and pave the road.

Jeff, I commend you for your fortitude. Blessings on you.

That is some real praise there! How thoughtful of you. I think this website has a glitch, none of the comments about my thick hair or rippling muscles are coming through :) Kidding aside, I appreciate the support.

My thanks also to you, Jeff, for managing and sharing all this in an honorable and fact-based way while maintaining a sense of humor. It's imperative that we all dig a little deeper for truth in so many of these things.

This seriously falls mostly on Ozias but also on French and Johnson for not acting as a check on Ozias at the beginning of all this and now, along the way. It's like he won't stop "helping" the private land owner but doesn't care much about the rest of us.

I'm happy to see that the other two commissioners seem to have come around and are now paying a bit more attention,.

A bit tongue-in-cheek here, but hey if an individual land owner is really concerned about the environment, he proabably shouldn't be driving over and mowing the wetlands on his property, should he? Science doesn't really support that as a good way to restore habitat in a wetland area or very environmentally friendly. Take this to an extreme and let's just close all the bridges over the Dungeness. I mean, the car pollution that runs into the river daily is horrible and who needs commerce? For the record, I don't believe all that but where does it stop? There has to be balance.

As a "neighbor", I am personally offended and feel DISRESPECTED that this person has the temerity to speak for all his "neighbors". I think I need to ask Ozias for his help in that. :-)

What is driving this landowner's OBSSESSION with keeping the road closed even though the agreed to solution of paved road with walking trail sounds like a wonderful compromise?

(Unforunately my schedule doesn't support my attendance at the meetings but I am a great letter writer).

Darn right you write a good letter! If I believed in mind reading, I would accuse you of intercepting all the tongue-in-cheek arguments that I have had my myself but that's impossible -- I just checked the foil in my hat and I have full coverage.

The politicization/weaponization of our legal system is unfortunately only too real. Strange days indeed. We are persecuted for questioning authority and speaking truth. Sounds Biblical to me.

Tucker Carlson is interviewing people who are being threatened and persecuted for seeking and speaking truth, so we are not 'making it up'. Say la vie.

If conversations after yesterday's meeting were any indication, Commissioner French and the Commissioners' Administrator Mielke think Ozias is behaving completely appropriately.

BRAVO, Jeff! Well said!

Excellent. There is always so much to ruminate after these meetings. Thank goodness, Jeff, that you can articulate all the main points so that the perspective is easy to follow: staying focused on the failures of our elected leaders. I think there is another questionable decision by our Commissioners coming into prominence soon. I heard Ozias use the word "caucus" regarding WA elections that was brought up at the emergency WSAC Board meeting over the weekend. Ozias is 2nd VP on the Board. My antennae are on alert. You and your family have a nice evening.

I'm so glad you attend Denise, because I heard that, but it didn't make sense to me. Good catch! Your comment was well received today, and your voice is like butter. For once, I would just like to see you yell and go ballistic... one more thing for my bucket list.
