AND so did you Mr. Tozzer (again - is that your REAL name?) ... Had I known Eberle would have one of his out of town "folks" comment, I would have jumped on - since my family is considered PIONEERS after all!

There's a picture in the Sequim Museum of the Mayflower offloading a group of rabblerousers in Dungeness Bay... there is woman in the photo who is being lowered into a lifeboat. She has your eyes, face shape, and is holding a mimosa. That's all the proof I need.

Mr. Ash, you nailed it! I love that I have an opportunity to laugh at the situation. I am at the same time very aware of just how close we are to becoming a police state and how very important it is that we, as a community, continue to expose the corruption and hypocrisy that has been allowed to fester for far too long in Clallam County.

Gayle, many fine folks in this area have tried to expose the corruption and hypocrisy; some have paid higher prices than others. Thankfully there are still people who know the difference between right and wrong and that the end absolutely does not justify the means.

Bravo, Thomas! I always enjoy your posts on Nextdoor (before they get removed)...keep 'em coming!

Sounds like the weaponization of law enforcement by elected officials for their own political purposes. I wish I knew why they continue to stay in power.

I agree. I've read that in headlines regarding national events, but I never thought it would happen locally.

Jeff, many people, alive or already passed, could tell many stories just like this of our lovely little place. What happens is we stumble into something that looks so unjust. We are outraged, and decide we must act. On whatever level or to whatever degree we act until we affect real change, or make a dent in the cause, or give up in defeat. As my past is full of outrage and action, or just walking away, I can tell you there is much corruption all around. Every person has to decide when it greets you how you will respond.

The burning question I still have is: when is staging a nude sit in appropriate?

As soon as the weather warms up, or you can get courthouse maintenance to crank the heat up!

They stay in power because the folks they rule over and exploit are too busy trying to raise and feed their families. People don’t come to power accidentally. The people who wield and go on to abuse power have that in their sites from the beginning.

It sounds like you are spotting a trend in Clallam County that you've seen elsewhere.

Yes. Elsewhere and here.

I think some people are apathetic and just vote for the guy who is the incumbent

I know, I'm aware of many, many heros, Ed Telenik included. But we can only learn from the past and deal in the present. I'm so very grateful that there seems to be actual interest in what happens to our county. I'm preparing for much higher property taxes, maybe the Tribe taking my land from me or even a knock on my door from the Sheriff. Who knows?

Your comments were well received today, Gayle. You always back up what you say with data. You're going to make a great cellmate.

Jeff, this comment I made to you is hidden on ND because they say it broke a guideline. I am putting it here because I am in no mood to play whatever game they play. Just FYI. Deborah

Thank you Jeff for the farm families who you are fighting for who have been short changed while one farmer cries harassment because their back door dealings with a sitting County Commissioner via email were published on here and other places per the FOIA documents. Maybe people oughta become aware what the FOIA power has.

Thank you for continuing to allow people to see the data and decide for themselves. We are so lucky to have you.

I cannot understand that ND decided this was bullying. I think they are the bullies.

I posted a link on ND to Watchdogs and got over a thousand hits per ND. One or 2 people complained the back door dealings should have been kept secret! Really??

Whatever rabblerousing you are doing over there Kathy is really sending the traffic to us -- just from being on ND (before purgatory) I think I can guess who doesn't have a problem with a lack of accountability.
